On Mon. 10/13/14 at 6pm, Mohegan units were dispatched to the area of 58 Oregon Rd in Cortlandt for a motor vehicle accident with a rollover involved. Upon arrival, units found a 2 car mva with 1 van rolled over onto its side. All occupants were out of all the vehicles and were treated on scene by 69B3. Firefighters stabilized the van and stretched an 1 3/4" hoseline from Engine 257 as a precaution. Members mitigated leaking fluids from the van by applying speedy dry to the fluids. Mohegan FD Fire-Police shut down Oregon Rd to all traffic in the area between Oak St and Gilbert St, until the vehicles were towed from the scene. Firefighters also applied speedy dry to the second vehicle, which crashed through a fence into the driveway of a residence on Oregon Rd. 69B3 secured 3 RMA's and went back into service from the scene. During this incident, Car 2264, Engine 252 (cleared this scene), Engine 254, and Ladder 35 handled a residential fire alarm on Jerome Dr at 6:24pm. Immediately following these calls, units responded to a brush fire on Indian Hill Rd in Jefferson Valley at 6:45pm, where members found a large open burn and stretched a hoseline from Engine 253 to extinguish. Soon after clearing that scene, firefighters responded to Club Fit Athletic Club on Bank Rd for an activated fire alarm at 8:35pm. Photos courtesy of Lt. Gravius.
