On Saturday October 4th, members from Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association participated in a Fire Prevention detail for Home Depot's Safety Day. Members educated the public on fire prevention and how everyone can help do their part to make their homes, as well as their communities safer. Home Depot, located in the Cortlandt Town Center, graciously donated two 20 inch Echo Chainsaws to the fire department, as an appreciation for what we do for the community. These saws will be used by us during severe weather events including thunderstorms, snowstorms, and other weather to clear down trees.
