On Wed. May 5th, 2010, a Girl Scout Daisy Troop from the George Washington Elementary School, visited Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 10 girls and several mothers toured 69B2 and learned about the equipment and supplies in the ambulance. EMT's Beverly Thornton and Clint Thornton answered many questions. The girls had several stories about their own experiences to tell. The girls also took turns pretending to be a patient and laying on the stretcher. The Scouts then made personal first aid kits and learned how and when to call 911. The Girl Scouts were very excited and enjoyed their visit.
